Mipham Namgyal Rinpoche
Wamlung Dongak Chökorling Monastery
Highly-regarded for his skills and creativity in Tibetan calligraphy, art, and design, Mipham Namgyal Rinpoche of Wamlung Dongak Chökorling Monastery in Kyegudo, Qinghai, devotes much of his time to promoting Tibetan culture and art around the world. Through his artwork and publications, he has been able to raise funds to contribute to the support and growth of Tibetan communities in his home region. In the last decade, he established the Norling Library and the Wamlung Monastery Dharma Institute, and made it possible for the restoration and renovation of the monastery and construction of monk dormitories, among other projects. A book of his calligraphy was recently published.
