Leigh Miller

Dr. Leigh Miller completed her PhD at Emory University and is currently the Director of Academic and Public Programs at Maitripa College. Leigh's dissertation, Contemporary Tibetan Art and Cultural Sustainability, was based on research conducted with artists in Lhasa over a ten year period, including a year and a half of field work in Tibet as a Fulbright scholar. Leigh curated the first contemporary Tibetan art exhibition at a prestigious international gallery in Beijing (Red Gate Gallery, 2007), and has written multiple catalog essays about contemporary Tibetan art for exhibitions held in the United States, Europe, Hong Kong, and China. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with her two young children.
