This is a special scheme to support current-year graduates of high schools that we have partnered with in our regional education projects during their first year of undergraduate study. In 2009 we supported 551 students, in 2008 we supported 463 students, in 2007 we supported 294 students; in 2006 the number was 162, in 2005 the number was 99 and in 2004 the number was 29. The amount of award is a one-time 3,000 RMB per person for humanity track graduates and a two-year, 3,000 RMB per year award for those coming from the science track. In 2010 we plan to further increase our investment in this particular category of scholarship support. Further information and application materials will be distributed through the partner schools, which currently include:
The amount of individual awards will generally not exceed 3,000 RMB. Due to limited resources, we cannot accept applications from individual senior middle school graduating students outside the participating schools listed above.

Trace Foundation is planning to expand this scheme to other institutions that have a large number of undergraduate students from Tibetan areas. In 2007, Trace Foundation's IMISA enabled 176 outstanding Tibetan-medium students to continue their undergraduate studies. The amount of individual awards vary, according to the guidelines established in cooperation with the partner institutions, but generally is between 1000 and 3000 RMB/year. Due to limited resources, we cannot accept applications from currently enrolled individual undergraduate students outside this scheme.
