At least 3 years work experience in their chosen field and/or evidence of publications in the chosen field;
High motivation for contributing knowledge and work to Tibetan communities and culture;
Proficient language and research skills to enable original and high-quality research work.
Review Cycle and Application Submission Deadlines:
Applications for Trace Foundation’s research fellowships are reviewed once a year. In order for you to successfully enter the fellowship competition, application materials must be received by the following date:
Deadline for submission of complete application materialsfor the 2010-2011 research period has been extended to January 15, 2010.
By January 15, 2010, all applicants must have submitted all the materials needed for a complete application packet. If by January 15, 2010, you are not able to provide a complete set of application materials, your application will be postponed for the next review cycle in the following year.
By April 30th, 2010, applicants will be notified in writing of Trace Foundation’s decision. Once the applicant has been notified of the approval of the grant, the Foundation will prepare a fellowship agreement, establishing the terms of the fellowship. This contract must be signed by the grantee and Trace Foundation’s representative before funds can be disbursed. Approved fellows for the 2010-2011 research period may begin their research as early as June 2010.
The deadline for submission of complete application materials for the 2011-2012 research period is November 1st, 2010. By April 2011 applicants will be notified in writing of Trace Foundation’s decision.

Official employer letter certifying your income status during studies (where applicable).
